Run Streak Day 14: 1 mile run with Nava this morning while she’s in town.  Please note that in the battle between Garmin and Nike+, my Nike+ found satellites first (insert evil laughter here).  We ran, we walked, I prancercized (if you don’t know what prancersizing is, please google it, it’s worth a laugh I promise).  We did our mile, and then walked down the trail for a long time afterwards for amusement since Nava hadn’t seen that part before (I didn’t record it on my watch because Nike+ yells at me when it thinks I’m slacking).
Side note: KT Tape is the most amazing invention ever, and I’m so glad afortunatecircumstance suggested it, my knee felt better than it has in weeks today.  With the price of the tape I probably won’t use it for the 1 mile days of the streak, but for the long weekend runs for marathon training I think it’s going to be a lifesaver!

This is the girl that many moons ago got me to sign up for a 5K on a whim and I blame her for all my running craziness since. Ironically, 4 years later, this was the FIRST time we’ve run together.So you should go follow this Disney obsessed, horse riding, awesome runner about to train for the Disney Marathon!

Friday dinner!
Where I’m visiting there is a Whole Foods and I LOVE finding things there.
This entire plate is 200 calories and 20 grams of carbohydrates.
I discovered this thing called PastaSlim that is gluten free and super low in calories and carbs. Took a bite and it’s delicious.

Also, RWRunStreak Day 12 was a slow mile but got it done first thing this morning before venturing out for the day.

My body hurts in more places than I can ever imagine.  I’ve done a lot of physical activities (moving things, painting, sleeping in awkward positions because of an annoying cat, etc.) that it’s just super sore and misses getting the TLC that I usually give when I’m on a run streak — aka it misses my foam roller and stick.

I finished a friend’s present that I thought was going to take much longer to knit than it actually took.  I love the pattern.  And the yarn (bamboo blend).  I’m excited to use this pattern again.  Now I can put another long term project on my needles MUCH sooner than I had anticipated.

I’ve been in my pjs watching L&O: SVU for all but 30 minutes of my day (running and shower).  I have zero regrets.  I honestly do miss cable tv primarily because of USA network. 

RWRunStreak Day 8
I’m surprised of the pace because of how sore I am. And how hot it is. I miss my gym’s treadmill. And I miss my compression sleeves. At least I’m getting back into a morning run routine because Florida’s afternoons have been filled with rain.

Stupid Garmin acted up so I fought with RunKeeper.
Either way, pavement run in post rain, humid Florida.

Quick early morning run tomorrow followed by visiting former coworkers and then spending the afternoon with a close friend.  I really do enjoy being able to visit people when I’m in town.
