Just another manic last Monday of February
Weekend goals:
-under no circumstances are potato chips acceptable this weekend (including chips with Saturday lunch—NO! RESIST!) I ate only ONE potato chip off my dad’s plate and it was enough for me to resist—that happened Sunday before I left for my 2 hour drive back to school. Long Run Sunday, 10K Training Week 7 Day 7
For those of you on a training plan that lands on a long run for Sundays [or you’re taking advantage of the weekend], I wish you the best of luck and am telling you to just get out there and run. You will feel so much better!
I got up at 8, and by 9:30 had cranked out 5.5 miles burning over 1,000 calories! Umm, yikes? Today looks like an awesome and busy day.

Saturday Workout Round 2

10K Training Week 7 Day 6
Cross-training day! Whoo! Cranked out 1.25 miles on my parents’ stationary bike in a little over 20 minutes.
Didn’t hurt nearly as much as I expected, I can tell you rolling out of bed at 7 on a weekend was a difficult task—moreso for the workout afterburn in my abs and legs from yesterday’s 2 mile jog/run and the 75 crunches and 30 push ups I did before bed yesterday....

Friday ramblings
Managed the 2 miles I promised myself to do this morning since I didn’t do it yesterday. Whoo! Clocked it at about 30 minutes. Omg the "I didn't succeed in all of my goals but...
No, I didn’t get my 2 miles in (got 6 miles on my pedometer which is pretty rare though!), and no I didn’t manage a fruit salad for breakfast (post-dinner snack!) but I did pack my own lunch and have plenty of grapes for the two hour roadtrip home. Nothing too special went on in my world today. Lacked sleep, up and down most of the night between it being super hot and me just not getting comfortable in my very uncomfortable bed. Pros and Cons of today
Pros:
- worked out twice (10 minute abs and 30 minute 30 Day Shred)
- ate reasonably well thanks to premade meals
- did a lot of standing (which made my pedometer low but I know I still burned calories)
- got an email with my 5K packet pick up instructions—2 weeks!!!
Cons:
- tomorrow’s weigh in is gonna be plus caz of water weight (I already see this coming and it irritates me...

100 posts in 56 days?!
Well that’s what it looks like folks. In those 56 days I’ve lost 18 pounds, worked my ass off, dropped one whole pants size, — more on that in a bit — gained more respect for my body, and found a whole new attitude towards life. The key to my stomach making noises and wanting food an hour before my lunch break: gum
Guess who switched bags today and forgot to grab a new pack of gum? Me. Yup.
Already guzzled 4 refills of my 24 ounce water bottle and my stomach is still making noises.
It’s going to be a long afternoon at this rate.

10K Training Week 5, Day 2 (retake)
Awesome awesome awesome mileage today! And I needed it after the 7.5 hours that I went through prior to. Definitely exciting stuff happened on this 5K mileage day.
Ended up with actually 5.55K instead, took a semi newish route for the second time (first time was over 2 weeks ago early in the morning by myself, this time was with the roommate), AND people in cars staring and taking pictures....

Weigh-In Tuesday, 7th Week
I was super super excited to weigh in today because I just *knew* that I had broken the line between 240 and 230. Even with me not doing a lot of miles last week, I still did pretty darn well with my work out videos and could just feel that I was a different person and I had reached the 230s.
